It will be least another two years before the Sun Peaks Resort municipality cracks down on another problem connected with the controversy over short term rentals.
Mayor Al Raine says, council is working on a bylaw that will be enacted in a few years governing multi family residential
Raine says, until then, the current bylaw remains.
“Short term rentals in single family homes that have to have the right zoning or a temporary use permit, The residential multi-family condominium complex is much more complex and we have suggested, but we have not finalized that, but we are looking at 2020. So no enforcement before July 2020.”
Raine says, several concerns were raised from nearby homeowners a about noise and parking.
