The BC Lottery Corporation says someone has stepped forward with a ticket bought in Chase worth a cool half a million dollars.
BCLC spokesperson Angela Law says the winner is Terry Sigurdson who hails from Tappen.
Law says he showed up at BCLC’s Kamloops headquarters this morning to claim his prize.
“He purchased his ticket in Chase. He is a renovator by trade. He has been a long time lottery player. He has played about 20 years. He was telling us he likes to play his own numbers. He is really excited about his win although he is still in shock but he is looking forward to potentially building a new house for himself.”
Sigurdson won $500,000 after nailing the extra numbers from the March 14th Lotto 649 draw.
