Have you made preparations for your loved ones in case anything happens to you?
More than half of the province hasn’t, according to the latest survey from B.C Notaries.
“B.C Notaries want to encourage as many British Columbians who don’t have a Will, to take action, and get a Will in place.”
Notary Tarja McLean says with Make a Will Week, April 8th – 14th, they are reminding people to get in touch with them to have one drawn up.
“If you pass away without a Will, then the province decides who is going to look after your kids, and any dependent children, and how your assets are going to get dispersed.”
The latest survey found 66 per cent of B.C parents do not have a Will at all, and 57 per cent of homeowners are in the same boat.
