The Kamloops housing market has rebounded.
The Real Estate Association reporting in April there were 311 residential sales compared only 210 in March.
President Doren Quinton says, last month there was an 11% increase in new listings with 496 new residential listings hitting the market compared to 446 during the same month in 2017.
“We certainly did see a spike again in the number of sales. As I mentioned last month, we were suffering from low inventory numbers, not a lot of inventory. We saw a big boost in the number of new listings in April with an 11 per cent jump over last year, and that certainly helps to boost sales in April.”
Quinton says, year to date, there have been 873 sales this year compared to 925 last year.
The greatest number of sales between 320 thousand to 360 thousand dollar range.
Westsyde and Brockelhurst each had 24 sales, with Aberdeen close behind at 23 sales.
