There’s a new development today in the B.C. government’s legal challenge of the Kinder Morgan Trans Mountain pipeline expansion.
Claiming to be the “people’s voice” in the matter – the Canadian Taxpayers Federation has just applied for intervener status.
“What we’re trying to send is a big signal saying hey, we want in. We’re coming off the bench, we’re going over the boards. We want to fight on behalf of taxpayers. The main thing is we want in on this.”
Canadian Taxpayers Federation B.C. Director, Kris Sims, hoping to find out about that intervener status within two weeks.
No date has been set yet for that B.C. Court of Appeal hearing on the Trans Mountain expansion.
Kinder Morgan has promised to decide by the end of this month whether the giant project will continue.
