Kamloops is preparing for the next phase of any flooding.
Kamloops Fire and Rescue Assistant Chief Dan Sutherland says, there is no magic line in the sand as to when the additional measures will be implemented.
Sutherland says, the river would have to rise another one metre before any serious concern is registered.
“Over the weekend the rate of rise did slow down quite a bit. We only went up .2 of a metre or 20 centimetres, so a moderate increase over the weekend. But we do expect it to start rising again a bit more rapidly as the week progressed with our warm weather.
