The voice of Kamloops business liked what it heard from Federal Finance Minister, Bill Morneau today in connection with the Kinder Morgan Trans Mountain Pipeline Project.
Chamber of Commerce President, Joshua Knaak, reacting to Ottawa’s willingness to ensure that Trans Mountain investor don’t lose any money because of the B.C Government’s attempt to block the venture.
“They were broad comments, but they certainly speak to the federal government’s commitment to moving this project forward. I think, there’s clearly a lot of specifics to be played out, he mentions that it needs to be a good deal for taxpayers, I’m not entirely sure what that looks like.”
In Calgary today, at a company share holder’s meeting, Kinder Morgan Canada CEO Steven Kean, would only say that he appreciates Ottawa’s announcement.
The company to decide at the end of the month, whether to go ahead with the pipeline twinning.
