With the fire situation in Kamloops looking stable, B.C Wildfire Service has their attention spread to the rest of the Kamloops Fire Centre.
Fire Information Officer Marla Catherall says no further growth is expected for the east Shuswap Road fire.
“So it remains estimated at 545 hectares in size, and we have 69 personnel working on it today.”
Catherall says recently there have been 3 new starts in the Kamloops Fire Centre,
“Dee Lake Road wildfire, which is south of Vernon. It broke out later in the afternoon yesterday, and the B.C Wildfire Service is responding with 26 personnel and two helicopters.
Along with that, she says they are tackling the 7 hectare Mount Pike wildfire near Princeton, and a half a hectare fire at Lakehill Road near Kaleden.
