A glimmer of good news overnight on the wildfire front in the Okanagan.
Fire Information Officer Noelle Kekula says there appears to have been little growth overnight including on the 13-hundred hectare Mt. Eneas blaze.
“It did stay within the containment lines. It did not cross the highway yesterday or overnight. Crews are on it right now.”
With evacuation orders and thousands of people on alert are there any homes in harms way? And have any structures been lost?
“There still is many within harm’s way potentially but as of right now to my knowledge we have not lost any homes or signficant structures.”
Kekula says they have air tankers and about 200 fire firefighters battling the flames in the Okanagan complex right now.
