The New Afton Mine in Kamloops is doing its part to help B.C’s wildfire fight.
The Manager of Social Responsibility Scott Davidson says four people from its volunteer department are in Burns Lake.
“We sent one of our fire trucks and asked for volunteers from our off duty mine and fire rescue to also go in support.”
Davidson isn’t sure the company will send any additional equipment or men The Chief of Kamloops Fire and Rescue Mike Adams says no personnel or trucks from Kamloops have been asked to help out.
