It’ll be a small field, with only two candidates on the ballot this municipal election for the Mayor’s job.
Kamloops Mayor Ken Christian says it’ll be a good race, just down to himself and William James Turnbull.
“Bill Turnbull is active in the community, and I think brings a lot to the race. So we’re prepared, and we’re going to have an election. We’re going to be out there talking to as many voters as we can to get our message out.”
Christian says it’s slightly surprising to see less candidates than were in the by-election.
“In any case, I have a job evaluation coming up on the 20th of October, and I am going to do everything that I can to win this race.”
Election day set for October 20th.
