Sun Peaks is going through another big growth spurt.
Resort Municipality Mayor Al Raine says they’ve had a whole slew of development recently with permits and applications arriving everyday.
“It is getting busier and busier. I certainly wouldn’t want to see us growing every year at the pace we’ve been growing this year. You know, because it’s all still manageable but we’re on the limits.” But that’s the way it is a little bit in resorts. You know, the resorts can get very very hot, everyone wants to move in, and then it plateaus for a few years, and then boom, another building boom.”
However Raine says that is not an unusual trend for ski resorts.
“But that’s the way it is a little bit in resorts. You know, the resorts can get very very hot, everyone wants to move in, and then it plateaus for a few years, and then boom, another building boom.”
He says realtors have been complaining about a lack of housing inventory.
