There will be a new face behind the Kamloops Broncos bench next season.
Brad Yamaoka will not return as coach next year, the team announced today, after four years in the role.
He could stay on with a club in a role that’s yet to be determined.
“It was a mutual decision. His contract was expired, and so he would have had to have gone through the process of reapplying,” Team President Dino Bernardo said.
“I think after four years, he’s a little bit burnt out with everything that has happened, and Brad made the decision to step down from a Head Coaching role.”
The team is now on the lookout for a new General Manager, and a Head Coach – Bernardo says they’re looking for two people.
He is hoping to have a new coach in place by the end of November.
