Christmas came early for one Kamloops resident this week after finding out he won the lottery.
Rod Pleskoe is taking home $1-million after cashing in a winning Max Millions ticket.
He says he found out Wednesday night, after checking a ticket he bought on Nov. 30.
“My wife and I are pretty ecstatic, it’s pretty surreal.”
What does he plan to with an extra million bucks?
“We’ll use it to pay off the mortgage and share a bit with family,” Pleskoe says. “We’re mostly retired, and it’ll just allow us to live and feel free.”
Pleskoe adds the timing of the win is special with Christmas less than two weeks away.
He’s the third person in Kamloops this year to cash in a winning lottery ticket worth $1 million, according to the BCLC website.
