Kamloops RCMP were out responding to a collision this morning on Highway 5A near Rogers Way.
Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says, around 8 o’clock this morning, a southbound pick up truck lost control over some black ice.
“Crossed the centre line, and hit a northbound pick up truck. There was a third vehicle behind the northbound pick up that was also hit by a piece of debris from the collision between the two pick ups.”
Shelkie says, there was extensive damage to both pick ups, and had to be towed.
“Three people that were travelling inside of the trucks were taken to Royal Inland Hospital, and a fourth person that was in that third vehicle that was hit by flying debris was checked on scene by paramedics and was fine.”
Shelkie says, the road is now open, and RCMP would like to remind drivers to slow down and drive according to conditions.
