A 17-year-old suspect is in custody, after Kamloops Mounties responded to a stabbing incident last night.
Sgt. Brandon Buliziuk says, around 10 o clock last night, police responded to the Monarch Court area of Kamloops, where a large group of young people were reported to be fighting, and one of them may have been stabbed.
“Upon attendance to the scene, as well as at Royal Inland Hospital, we determined that a 17-year-old male was suffering from what appeared to be a stab wound.”
Buliziuk says, the young man was immediately admitted to hospital in serious medical condition.
“Information obtained throughout the investigation supported the arrest of the suspect that we located at the scene of the incident. A 17-year-old male has ultimately been brought into our custody and will be appearing before the courts later today.”
Buliziuk adds, the investigation is still ongoing.
