Venture Kamloops is looking to update its five year strategic plan with a key component being a renewed partnership with First Nations.
Executive Director Jim Anderson says the city owned group is looking for a consultant to update their goals and objectives.
Anderson says one of the priorities is to re-establish a partnership with the Tk’emlúps First Nation to develop industrial lands.
“Right now I think it is pretty easy to say that we feel like we are in a fairly healthy local economy and there are lots of things happening that will sustain that into the future, but the boards job will be to decide what our organization can do to ensure that continues.”
The new plan will be another five year term.
