We should know the name of the new president of Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops sometime next month.
Board of Governors Chair, Jim Thompson says, a recommendation will go the board this month.
“We are in the process of interviewing shortlisted candidates and hopefully at the end of that we are in a position to take a recommendation to the board tentatively for March 23rd. Once we get that, then the details will have to be ironed out, and all the final negotiations with the person and that could take a little bit of time.”
Current president Alan Shaver will retire at the end of August after seven years.
