Downtown Kamloops businesses are planning for the next three to five years, and what the major issues will be, one of those will be front and centre.
The President of the Kamloops Central Business Improvement Association, Mike O’Reilly on the biggest concern.
“I hate to keep going after a dead horse, parking for staff is a concern. You know people keep mentioning that there is some parking around downtown near Hotel 540, those types of spaces, but those spots are disappearing now as well. And what we have been saying all along, is we have been trying to get ahead of this curve because once these developments are happening, it takes another two to three years to get parking included.”
Other matters to be tackled, are crime and homelessness.
