Its the next step in the building of a new five million dollar headquarters for the Kamloops SPCA.
City council approving a development permit which governs the look, character, and form of the structure.
Development Services Director Marvin Kwiatkowski says, the final piece of the puzzle will be an application for a building permit.
“Looking at the form and character. you can see in front of you the variation in the roof elevations. The building has some contours as well so it breaks it up so its not one big blocky building.”
The new building will be just over 900 square metres in size, and will include a spay/neuter clinic, new dog apartments and even outdoor patios for cats, or “catios.”
