After nearly a year bucking the B.C. trend, the City of Kamloops is falling into line as home sales dropped signifcnatly across the province.
The B.C. Real Estate Association is reporting a near 25% drop in home sales across the province in March.
BCREA Chief Economist Cameron Muir says in Kamloops home sales dropped 24%.
“Most markets are the same. So if we look at the Fraser Valley is down 25%. I think Vancouver is down about 30%. Victoria is down 25%. So it is all arounf that same number and it goes to show that these policies at the federal level around mortgage qualifications impact everybody and every market.”
Muir says despite the consumer demand the supply of homes for sales remains low in most regions across the province.
