Next steps have been taken for two road improvements in Kamloops.
Capital Projects Manager Darren Crundwell says, there are a couple of projects on the go for city crews, including, a right turn channel for the intersection at 8th and Fortune Drive.
“Essentially, doing the same thing that we did at McGill and Summit last year, just improving the intersection angle at Fortune and 8th, and some pedestrian improvements with that as well.”
Crundwell says, the project for River Road has also been awarded a contractor, with construction starting next week.
“The public can avoid it by using Valleyview Drive or the highway. But we will maintain local traffic at all times.”
Both projects are expected to be completed by summer this year.
