Venture Kamloops has to focus more on quality of life in the Tournament Capital to attract more business.
Executive Director Jim Anderson says, the group will begin the effort with real estate data.
“We are in the midst of a project now which is in beta that will allow someone who, say they are considering accepting a job in Kamloops, they have been offered x amount in Kamloops. The same job pays somewhat more in Vancouver. We are formulating a tool that will allow them to compare what their dollar is going to get them.”
Anderson says the biggest portion of a person relocating to Kamloops, is the cost of housing.
