More information on that proposed indoor farmers market for the parking lot next to Heritage House at Riverside Park.
Speaking on the Jim Harrison Show, Gregg Lindros of the Kamloops Public Market Cooperative says, the plan is in its preliminary stage.
He says, a business case is being developed, but there are no cost estimates.
“Its too early to pin down a number right now. Obviously, the city is going to be contributing but our organization will be contributing as well. That’s all part of the business case that we are developing now as part of doing our homework.”
Lindros says its about location, location, location.
“The market has to be profitable and location is really important. I cant think of a better location than Riverside Park.”
The concept includes a 35,000-square-foot facility 15 permanent tenants, and 20 day stalls and flex space for special events and entertainment and a lower-level parkade.
