RCMP say an investigation is underway, after a shooting in Vernon yesterday.
Constable Kelly Brett says, shortly after 2 a.m Tuesday morning, RCMP responded to 33rd street in Vernon, where a man had been shot.
“The victim is a 21 year old Vernon male, and he sustained non-life threatening injuries, and was transported to the nearest medical facility by the B.C Ambulance Service.”
Brett says, early information suggests the shooting was targeted, and police don’t think the public is at risk.
