The visit list of B.C.’s Small Business Task Force were announced today by B.C’s Minister of Jobs, Trades and Technology, with Kamloops not on the schedule.
President of the Kamloops Chamber of Commerce, Joshua Knaak says while they would have liked to see Kamloops make the cut, its nothing personal.
“There’s going to be some communities that are not reached. Even on the Island, I noted that they went to Nanaimo, but not to Victoria. So, I think there is only so many locations they can go to. So the one thing we want to make sure happens, is we want to ensure that our community’s voice is heard. And so we’ll make sure that we’re very active in the online submission.”
Once public consultations wrap up the task force will give its final report to the minister, including recommendations in fall 2018 on how government can further support small business in B.C.
