Kamloops RCMP using a search warrant this morning after multiple complaints about a local pot business.
Corporal Jodi Shelkie says, around 10:30 this morning RCMP executed a search at the Canna Clinic, on Hillside Drive.
Officers collected evidence related to the possession and trafficking of controlled substances.
“There were two employees that were arrested. Once the evidence has been collected and analyzed, the case will be referred to the Public Prosecution Service for consideration of potential charges.”
Shelkie adds, ideally, RCMP would like to use the least amount of force…
“But when businesses blatantly break the law and fail to follow the City’s by laws and zoning regulations, then as police officers, we must act.”
Currently, there is no legal way in Canada for a business to sell marijuana to the public, regardless of licenses to possess or produce.
