More summer road work in Kamloops beginning next week.
Capital Projects Manager, Darren Crundwell says, its a 600 thousand dollar project for the rehabilitation of McGill Road between Bunker Road and Hillside Drive.
Crundwell says, it includes concrete replacement on the curb, gutters and sidewalks ad replacement of catch basins.
“I think anybody that drives it, its a very busy corridor, and its at the end of its life. We’ve got to do this now before, obviously we lose the road structure completely. So yeah, it needed maintenance for sure.”
Construction will begin next Tuesday, with project completion expected by mid-July 2018.
The majority of the work will take place during the day from Monday to Friday, with the possibility of some Saturday and evening work.
