A huge Kamloops road construction project just a got a little more difficult.
Capital Projects Manager Darren Crundwell says, an application for federal money to help pay part of the ten million dollar cost has been rejected.
“There is options. Council is going to obviously ultimately have to make that decision. We wouldn’t stage or phase. You know, you are pretty constrained in that corridor, so if we try and improve things, we are all in, or we are just fixing and repairing.”
Crundwell will be presenting a report to council later this year on possible funding sources and how to proceed next.
