Kamloops hopes to employ new methods to remove snow this winter.
After returning from a snow removal conference in Indiana, Streets and Environmental Services Manager Glen Farrow saw current methods being used around North America.
Farrow says, he wants to make some equipment changes in Kamloops for the coming winter.
“Some of the equipment on our trucks being able to have the plow blade bend out two or three feet to do to a better job of clearing those shoulders on some of those key arterial roads around our community and by doing that at the same time we would have to make fewer passes when clearing a street.”
Farrow says, the city is aware of the latest snow removal equipment, and is keeping on top of changing technology.
