Kamloops council has turned down a request from Culos Developments for greater access to property it owns around the Station Plaza on Lorne Street adjacent to the Sandman Centre.
Council felt granting the additional easement would impede pedestrian traffic.
Real Estate Manager Dave Freeman says, the city has added amenities since the Keg restaurant closed.
“We’ve got over I believe, 120 parking stalls constructed, we had some work done to enhance the Rocky Mountain Rail Tour platform.”
Culos wanted additional access to build more housing in the area.
