A nine year boy in Clearwater has been killed following a collision with a semi truck.
RCMP say the boy was riding his bike Tuesday near the intersection of Park Drive and Clearwater Village Road when it appears he was unable to slow his bicycle down.
Corporal Madonna Saunderson says the boy went off Park Drive before colliding with a truck that was travelling south west on Clearwater Village Road.
“There were several witnesses which included an off-duty RCMP officer. They immediately rendered first-aid to this young boy but sadly he succumbed to injuries he sustained.”
In a post to the Raft River Elementary School website, Principal Lori Bradstock said students would be informed of the death at school Wednesday morning, with grief counselors on site.
