Kamloops Mounties say a recent traffic blitz resulted in 95 charges.
On June 8th, the Kamloops RCMP traffic section camped out in two locations and issued 23 tickets for using electronic devices.
Two of those tickets went to the same driver, only 13 minutes apart.
“And so he received two violation tickets for using a cell phone. Just as he was crossing the Overlanders Bridge, and then a few blocks after the Overlanders Bridge.”
Corporal Jodi Shelkie says 17 tickets went out for not wearing seat belts, and 6 vehicles were taken off the road because they were unsafe.
A commercial vehicle blitz May 23rd- 25th resulted in 380 tickets, and 48 vehicle inspections ordered for unsafe vehicles.
