Taking a short break from the rain- the heat is here for Kamloops, with Environment Canada issuing a special weather statement for the South Thompson.
“It’s the first heat wave of the season for most of the B.C area.”
Forecaster Johnson Zhong says today and Tuesday’s temperatures are expected to get up to about 35 degrees, with the morning low estimated at about 17 degrees.
“There’s a very strong, high pressure ridge spreading across B.C.”
Zhong adding, it looks like this heat will last until about Wednesday, when clouds starting to roll back in.
