A Kamloops beautification project may be over budget.
On the Jim Harrison Show today Mayor Ken Christian was quizzed about the project to make the Lansdowne Parkade more aesthetically appealing by painting a mural with wire mesh tiles.
Sources tell NL News the cost of that project has jumped from 166 thousand to more than 200 thousand dollars.
“I am not aware of that but if that is the case we can find that out the fund for that was coming from the Downtown Parking Corporation, so we need to find that out but the last I heard it was in and around a 200 thousand dollar bill.”
Nearly 600 thousand dollars is earmarked towards fixing the parkade.
