Revelstoke RCMP say a 25 year old Australian man has been seriously injured after he apparently fell from a moving freight train early Saturday.
Police say they were called around 4:30am after a report of a trespasser on the CP Rail tracks.
When they found the man he was conscious but had suffered “complete and partial limb amputations” as well as other injuries.
He was drunk but told police he was riding on a train when he fell off and was hit by other train cars.
Mounties say the man was taken to Queen Victoria Hospital in Revelstoke.
They’re reminding the public trespassing on rail property – and riding on trains – is against the law.
