Kamloops Council is being asked to approve borrowing $5.5 million to help complete the West Victoria reconstruction project
City of Kamloops Capital Projects Manager Darren Crundwell says the total cost is over $13 million with the remainder already contained in various budgets.
“Basically Overlanders Bridge to City Hall. It is some of the oldest infrastructure in the city: water, sanitary, pipes in the ground date back to 1907. So regardless of what we do on the corridor in terms of trying to improve it. We have a project that we have to do.”
The project to start in March of next year and take two years to complete.
A decision by Council will be made Tuesday.
