If the latest numbers are any indication Kamloops is in for another record construction year.
Development Services Director Marvin Kwiatkowski says City Hall has processed 30 million dollars in building permits during the first two weeks of July alone.
“We have two apartment buildings 141 units, that’s out at Orchards Walk, so that’s 16 million dollars. We’ve got the Reach, The Kelson Group apartment project, 77 units so another 12 million dollar project. We have got the TRU Nursing Building. At this point just the foundation, so just over a million dollars there.”
The record construction year was 2017 with at 224 million dollars.
During the first six months of this year, building permit values jumped by 76 per cent to 118 million dollars.
