Its a case of the glass being half full, not empty.
While the number of homes sold in Kamloops in July totalled 305, down from 335 in the same month of last year, the ten per cent decline is much lower than the rest of B.C.
The President of the Kamloops and District Real Estate Association Doren Quinton says, year-to-date 2018 sales were 1,853 units compared to 2000 in 2017, for a decline of 7%.
“We seem to be running in that 5-10% below last year, which is still close to a record pace. So, very robust sales out there in Kamloops.
The average price of homes sold in July 2018 was $406,768, up 11% from July 2017.
The most active areas during July were Brocklehurst and Aberdeen with 32 sales each.
