The B.C Environment Ministry has answered a question all Kamloops residents are wondering about.
“We have now located the source of the smoke.”
Air Quality Specialist Ralph Adams explains.
“We now have satellite imagery and modelling data that show that the fires are in the North so they are in the Chilcotin and all the way up north of Prince George that smoke is generally travelling towards the east. but then there’s a big loop of air bringing smoke from those converged plumes down almost directly south.
Adams says the smoke should last until Friday when another weather system is expected to clear out the valley.
