The killing of two police officers in a residential neighbourhood on the north side of Fredericton, New Brunswick has show again just how tough the occupation is.
Four people were shot and killed and an unknown number of others wounded.
One person is in custody, and is being treated in hospital for serious injuries.
Rob Creasser of Kamloops is the spokesman for the Mounted Police Professional Association,
“Its just indicative of how dangerous the work police officers can be. The thing about it is, as someone who has experienced a shooting first hand you never know when its going to happen.”
A large group of Fredericton police officers gathered early this afternoon outside hospital, consoling each other after the tragedy.
