Its another signal the Kamloops real estate market is out performing the rest of B.C.
The B.C Real Estate Association Reports in the month of July home sales across the province plunged by nearly 25 per cent.
Chief Economist Cameron Muir says, however, in Kamloops residential purchases dropped by only nine per cent year over year.
“Kamloops appears to be weathering the storm much better than some of the urban areas on the West Coast and if we look at prices in Kamloops. You know, prices are still marching up, they were up 11 per cent year over year and your market conditions are about where they were a year ago.”
In comparison home prices dropped by less than one per cent in the province.
