Sun Peaks officials are welcoming news that Air Canada will run its direct flight between Kamloops and Toronto again next summer.
Chief Marketing Officer Aidan Kelly says increased visits to Kamloops means increases in people coming to Sun Peaks.
“Well it helps big time. Access is one of the keys to converting new business. We have seen a lot of growth oin the summer over the last few years. It has been a very good focus for us but we still have a bunch of additional capacity there. Some of the key weekends are definitely filled right up but outside of that there is lots of room to come have fun at Sun Peaks in the summer months. This summer flight is a big part in helping that out.”
Kelly says improved air access to the region is a big item on the resort’s wish list. That said he added it would be nice to see the service offered during the winter ski season.
