The City of Kamloops is making major progress as it plans the massive rehabilitation of Victoria Street between First Avenue and the Overlanders Bridge.
Capital Projects Manager Darren Crundwell says the design process is more than 60 per cent complete.
“We are still meeting with property owners, still negotiating property. We have received the underground electrical design from BC Hydro, so we are working through that with property owners because we do need property for transformers and junction boxes.”
The ten million dollar project which could start by March of 2019 will replace century old drainage, sewage and water pipes.
The project could take up to two years to complete.
