What a difference 24 hours makes when it comes to air quality in Kamloops.
B.C Environment Ministry Air Quality Specialist Ralph Adams says there has been a gradual improvement that started Saturday morning and continued.
He says the Air Quality Health Index is in the moderate range.
“The values seem to be oscillating around 40 to 70 micrograms per cubic metre which is much higher than we normally we would get this time of year with no fires. But is a considerable improvement over conditions especially the very high values we experienced on Friday afternoon and Friday night.”
Adams expects gradual clearing throughout the week.
