Another win for the good guys in the war on drugs.
Revelstoke RCMP stopped a motor vehicle for speeding on the Trans Canada Highway, about 10 kilometres east of the community.
RCMP Corporal Thomas Blakney says police reacted to a call from an observant motorist about a car driving erratically.
“Officers approached the vehicle, and detected the odour of fresh marijuana. Searched the vehicle and found approximately 10 pounds of cannabis, prohibited weapons, including 3 batons with a taser mechanism in them, along with a knife, a replica pistol, contraband tobacco, and Canadian currency.”
The 45 year old man not known to police is facing a variety of charges.
