With colder weather on the way, long term housing projects in Kamloops are making steady progress.
ASK Wellness Kamloops Executive Director Bob Hughes says work is well underway, with forms being installed for the planned, five-storey, 58-unit affordable housing development in the heart of the Tranquille corridor.
“Taking a bit of time obviously to get everything in order, from the building permit, the development permit, but I think we’re free for take off now. And the installation of the building will be happening over the winter, with an anticipated date of opening in late January through to March 1st.”
ASK Wellness will be operating both the Tranquille site, and the 55 temporary housing units announced Monday, getting set up along Mission Flats Roads to alleviate winter shelter needs.
