Another indication Kamloops will bust the all time building record for a single year hitting 250 million dollars.

During the first eight months of this year the city already recorded 170 million dollars in building permit values.

Development Services Director Marvin Kwiatkowski reveals there is already 63 million dollars waiting for approval, including a large project at TRU with permit

“You know that nursing building is upwards of 30 million dollars. We have a project out at the Nissan dealership five million, Cummins Diesel six million dollars. We have got the spirit square project  that just went to council in the six million range. The Marquees on Lorne Street, that’s the multi family on Lorne Street looking at the foundation permit only, so even that two million for even the foundation.”

The construction record was set last year at nearly 225 million dollars
