The City of Kamloops has taken the first step in developing a recreation master plan.
The Health and Sport Development Supervisor Linda Stride says about 60 people showed up for the first of two public input sessions.
Stride says, there will be a second meeting tonight with the city seeking opinions on a variety of issues.
“How would they like us to look at prioritizing, so meaning is it new infrastructure. Should be we looking at neigbourhoods that have less infrastructure. Should we be looking updating, but existing old infrastructure.”
The recreation master plan will help guide the delivery of recreation services, including facilities, programming, and community partnerships for the next ten years.
