The Kamloops Blazers bid committee is confident they can swing the votes in their favour, as they fight for the right to host the 102nd Memorial Cup.
This afternoon in Calgary, the WHL Board of Governors will choose from Kamloops, Kelowna or Lethbridge as the host city for the 2020 Memorial Cup.
The Blazers will present to the board, right after lunch, according to bid chair Norm Daley.
“We start with a video that has been prepared for us here in town,” Daley said. “We had a lot of help from local celebrities talking about Kamloops and talking about the Blazer lore and history and things like that.”
Daley adds the video is followed by a ten minute presentation, and fifteen minutes of Q&A.
Radio NL will carry the announcement live, the coverage begins just after 2:30 PM this afternoon.
